Once teeth are removed for whatever reason, and the tissue has healed, full dentures can be installed. Before full dentures are installed, we ensure the tissue is fully healed, which usually takes several months. You will be without teeth during the healing period, but it is vital to schedule regular checkups to ensure minor issues are detected and treated. Immediate Full DenturesAs the name suggests, immediate complete dentures are inserted after teeth removal. We take measurements and design models of your jaw during the first appointment. If you never want to be without teeth, we recommend immediate dentures but ensure you schedule routine rinsing and adjustment checkups. Patients should come in for relining several months after insertion, so we can check if the bone supporting the teeth reshapes and heals properly. Nothing is more frustrating than loose dentures, compromising oral functions like chewing and speech. Partial DenturesFull dentures are worn over the gums and are usually fixed by a temporary paste by the wearer at home. However, partial dentures rest on a metallic frame attached to your natural teeth.
